Call for Paper

The 4^th International Conference on Regional Development (ICRD) is aimed at providing a medium for exchanges of knowledge, information and experiences on the implementation of urban and regional concept around the globe. Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University in collaboration with Regional Planning and Development Board (BAPPEDA) of Central Java Province invite scholars, practitioners, and graduate students to submit paper to be presented in the 4^th ICRD 2019.

This year the Conference would address a theme of Rural Development in Urban Age: Do Rural-Urban Linkages Matter? The targeted participants are those who have already got involved or interested in urban and regional resilience issues, ranging from academics, practitioners, decision-makers, urban and environment experts, social activists, policy advocates, non-governmental organizations and students.

Also, participants are cordially invited to take a part on –but not limited to- the following sub-themes:

1)   Peri Urban Development;
2)   Agricultural Development;
3)   Rural and Regional Governance;
4)   Food Security;
5)   Land Management;
6)   Livelihood;
7)   Rural Development Finance;
8)   Rural Infrastructure; and
9)   Rural Resilience.

Paper abstract can only be submitted electronically through the online platform from 25^st January 2019 to 15^th March 2019 . Abstract should consist of background, data and methodology, potential contribution to knowledge and keywords. Abstract should be in English as also the full paper. Abstract cannot exceed than 300 words. Paper presentations will be in English.
